Driving on the lovely tree-lined interstate is nice when it's not stopped up, but it can get very monotonous. So, we opted to take the Gulf Coast route 98, expecting the scenery to be much different, and it was! Except, not quite as expected. But, that's why we travel, right?
On our new route, we saw a little of the beach, some water under the bridges, sand dunes, and a lot of little towns and BIG hotels... Just like at home, except the hotels and condo buildings are bigger. It was much slower going than expected, so we only did 112 miles today.
In honor of Mom Day, we had banana splits for dinner... And we are staying in Callaway, Florida, tonight.
