Milepost 2197: Water, Water Everywhere!

     Today the 90 took us through many, many small towns. So many in fact, that it took us 3 1/2 hours to go only 100 miles! It was an interesting 100 miles filled with ponds, trees, and rice paddies, though.
     That meant we needed to catch up a bit, so we took I-10 and I-12 to avoid Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Most notable, we crossed the Mississippi River and travelled a 20-mile long bridge over Louisiana swamp land!
     We are spending the night in Hammond, Louisiana.
